Before we go start detailing all the highlights of the show, we have to give a shout out to all the booths that displayed at the Chicago stop since all brought out sick cars that really impressed all who attended the show. Autowerks killed it with their fleet of exotic rides, while Desperado’s Northside Choppers brought out their best in custom bikes that have been featured in various TV shows and bike magazines. Our Tribute to Lowriding display is always a crowd favorite, but our bike showcase really got people excited.
As far as displays, the Monster Lounge was heavily visited by many who wanted a cold Monster beverage and a place to relax a bit, while all the gaming booths like the Xbox 360 Arcade, Rockstar Games Midnight Club Los Angeles booth, and the 2K Sports booth were filled with gamers trying to get a sneak peak at some of their new games.
When time came to get the concert stage started, just about everybody in attendance flocked to check out performances by J-LP, $wag, Playaz Circle, Chicago’s own Twista and Ludacris. Chi-Town’s Finest Breakers (CTFB) also entertained the crowd. They are the youngest group of professional break dancers in the Chicago area, consisting of 11 year old BBoy Lil’ Ozone, 8 year old B-Girl Spinderalla, 8 year old BBoy Lil’ Turbo and 6 year old BBoy Crazzy Legz.
Chicago really showed a lot of love, and we’d like to thank all our sponsors and fans that came out to the show! Special thanks to all of our sponsors for making the 2009 Tour possible: Monster Energy, Rockstar Games’ Midnight Club: Los Angeles, Pirelli Tires, Tag, Xbox 360, NASCAR, 2K Sports, Mobil 1, Kawasaki, MLB Authentic, Pioneer Pro DJ, TIS, Dropstars and D20 Wheels. blog comments powered by Disqus |

Chi-City was more than ready to experience this year’s Monster Energy 2009 DUB Show Tour, as seen through the massive array of customized rides and bikes that packed the McCormick Place Convention Center on Saturday, August 1. Practically all of Chicago was there, with more than 16,000 car culture fans showed up ready to feast their eyes on some of the city’s best in the car game.

Surrounded by an entourage consisting of his publicist, manager, “hype” man, - video man, stylist and personal trainer, Daddy Yankee converses with his troops in a fast-talking Spanish that would make fluent speakers second guess their linguistic abilities...
It’s a typical Miami afternoon in early autumn. The city’s honorary spokesperson poses next to a classic model of American muscle, a custom 1972 Chevrolet Caprice. He soaks in every ounce of inspiration from the scantily clad women and the hustlers flossing their latest gadgets to the groups of immigrants striving to make it in the land of opportunity. In this virtual “Scarface” city, trouble brews as often as the warm breeze brushes gently against the cascading array of palm trees. However, for 24-year-old “Pitbull,” nothing is better as a backdrop and foundation for his destiny than the sexy and unpredictable streets of the M-I-A.
Comprised of four partners (Ryan Arakaki, Todd Shimabuku, Jun Jo and Rhandy Tambio), the idea for In4mation developed from the legendary’80s cartoon “Voltron,” in which unique characters assemble to become one indestructible force.
Located in the Little Tokyo district in Downtown L.A., Archrival is a lifestye/streetwear boutique aimed at supporting indie clothing and shoe brands.
