World's First Customized 2009 Dodge Challenger Print E-mail

challengerthumb.jpgOne of the hottest cars to hit US roads this month is the new 2009 Dodge Challenger.  Dodge decided to first release the high performance SRT version first to a few lucky pre-ordering customers.  We got our hands on number 11 at the recent DUB Show in Dallas in JR's custom display.  It was the star of the show, being the first customized version anyone has ever seen.  

Matching the subtle yet sporty styling of the Challenger, this one was sitting on a set of 5-spoke 22" back and chrome Forgiato wheels.  The SRT Challenger has quite the engine, a massive 6.1 Liter Hemi V8, good for 425 bhp and 420lb of torque at 4800 rpm.  Being an SRT, the owner decided to keep most of trim and suspension of the car as delivered.  On the interior the car was fitted with an upgraded audio system and custom black upholstery details.  Check out the video and snapshots below.
